402 Quantitative Analysis

Units-

Introduction, Importance uses of Statistics and quantitative techniques, Methods of Presenting Statistical Information’s and Collection of Data, Frequency Distribution, Measures of Central Tendency, Mean, Mode, Median, Measures of Dispersion. Range, Quartile Deviation, Mean deviation, Standard Deviation and Variance: Measures of variation and Skewness.
  2. Probability Theory: Basic concept of probability. Binomial Model, the Poisson Model and Normal Distribution.
  3. Nature and uses of Regression Analysis, Regression Equation (Two Variables Only).Correlation analysis and regression : Nature and Significance of Correlation, Types of Correlation. Methods of Studying Correlation, graphic method. Non Graphic Method, Karl Pearson’s Rank and Concurrent Deviation Methods, regression.
  4. Time Series: Nature, Components, Models of Time Series, Measure of Trends, Graphic Methods, Models of Moving Average.
