UNIT II-

Composition of blood – properties and functions, the immune response and mechanism of coagulation.

UNIT III-

Physiology of respiration in mammals and birds.

UNIT IV-

Feeding mechanisms, digestion in mouth, stomach absorption.

Practical:

 To determine the bleeding time and clotting time
 Determination of blood groups
 Estimation of hemoglobin in own blood
 Study the blood cells with the help of slide preparation
 To record diastolic and systolic blood pressure.
 To study permanent slides of various animal tissues
